Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Resources

Leeds Grenville Economic Development supports local employers looking to attract and retain talent through immigration. The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is the province's economic immigration program, allowing employers to nominate foreign workers for permanent residency to fill workforce needs.

The OINP was redesigned in June 2026.

The changes include removing the former 8 streams and introducing the new Ontario Workforce Priority stream. Read the Ontario Workforce Priority stream page to learn more.

The Ontario Workforce Priority stream has pathways for individuals with job offers in all National Occupational Classification (NOC) Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities (TEER) categories, as well as for self-employed physicians.

Prospective candidates and employers are encouraged to review the Ontario Workforce Priority stream criteria to confirm eligibility and learn about how to apply. Program materials and website pages have been updated.

REDI Program Update

The 2025 Regional Economic Development through Immigration (REDI) program was a resounding success in Leeds and Grenville, with 45 employers in the region receiving provincial nominations for over 140 full time, permanent workers – a key milestone on their pathway to permanent residency. This marks a meaningful step towards strengthening the local labour force.

While not selected to participate in the 2026 REDI program, the Counties have been provided 25 ONIP nomination spaces in 2026 in recognition of the region’s demonstrated need and ongoing efforts to attract and retain skilled newcomers. The nominations will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

These nominations are for applicants with job offers within the Leeds Grenville geographic boundaries. Any inquiries from both existing and potential applicants must be submitted via the OINP’s webform. You may also review answers to frequently asked questions.
