Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Resources
Leeds Grenville Economic Development supports local employers looking to attract and retain talent through immigration. The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is the province's economic immigration program, allowing employers to nominate foreign workers for permanent residency to fill workforce needs.
The OINP was redesigned in June 2026.
The changes include removing the former 8 streams and introducing the new Ontario Workforce Priority stream.
The Expression of Interest (EOI) system is now closed to new EOIs. No further invitations will be issued under the former program streams. All applications received under the former OINP framework will be assessed according to the eligibility requirements in place at the time of application. The E-Filing Portal is expected to reopen later this summer.
REDI Program Update
The Regional Economic Development through Immigration (REDI) Program is currently not available. The Counties has re-applied to be a part of the REDI program in 2026/2027. The outcome of this application will be known in fall 2026.
In 2025, 200 nomination spaces from the OINP’s Employer Job Offer streams were allocated to Leeds Grenville. These nominations were for applicants with job offers within the Leeds Grenville geographic boundaries. Any inquiries from both existing and potential applicants must be submitted via the OINP’s webform. You may also review answers to frequently asked questions.
