Access to Talent

The region has access seven post-secondary institutions with over 150,000 students in Leeds Grenville and its neighbouring areas.  These include St. Lawrence College, Royal Military College, Algonquin College and La Cité College along with Queen’s University, Carleton University and University of Ottawa.  Many of the region’s businesses seek out internships and apprenticeship to build a continuous talent flow into their organizations. 

Leeds Grenville is a strong partner with the Ontario Nominee Immigrant Program and was chosen as one of four municipalities in the province of Ontario to part of the Regional Economic Development through Immigration Program in 2025/26.  This program provides a pathway to permanent residency through OINP’s Employer Job Offer streams.
