Tourism and Hospitality

Home to the internationally acclaimed 1000 Islands and the Rideau Canal Waterway, the region boasts a strong tourism and hospitality sector with a wide range of attractions and activities that is supported by hospitality services that range in size from small to medium sized businesses.  Over the past two years, the region has attracted two new hotels with more anticipated to be announced in the coming year.  Further development opportunities and entrepreneurial growth is available in the many town and villages.

As the region’s destination management organization, the Counties continues to implement its 2022 Tourism Destination Strategy.  The Tourism Adventure series supports the development of year-round experiences and local culinary growth.
