Air

Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport is less than an hour's drive from most Leeds Grenville destinations.
Toronto's Pearson International Airport is to the west approximately 3 hours
Montreal's Trudeau International Airport is 2.5 hours to the east.
Ogdensburg International Airport is located in New York State with access via the Prescott-Ogdensburg International Bridge.
Brockville-1000 Islands Regional Tackaberry Airport can accommodate both private and commercial aircraft. It is located just north of Brockville on Airport Road in the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley. The airport is capable of handling most corporate jet aircraft. It offers two highly accurate Global Navigation Satellite System instrument approach procedures as well as a Non-Directional Beacon approach.
By flying the GNSS approach to Runway 04, aircraft may land with cloud bases as low as 338 feet above ground and one mile flight visibility. Additional airport features include new, medium intensity runway edge lighting and a lead-in light system to Runway 22. Airport lighting can be completely pilot activated, permitting arrivals and departures throughout the evening hours. Pilots inbound from the United States may arrange their entry clearance into Canada by telephoning 888-CANPASS (226-7277). Notification must be made at least one hour prior to landing.

The Thousand Islands International Bridge:

First international span within the boundaries of Leeds Grenville
Connects Ontario with the United States over the St. Lawrence River
Spans one of the most scenic areas of the St. Lawrence River and the 1000 Islands region
It is a series of bridges linking to Hill Island (Canadian) to Wellesley Island (USA) and finally the United States mainland and Interstate 81
On the Canadian side, the bridge links to Highway 137 and Highway 401 as well the Thousand Islands Parkway
Constructed in 1937 with additions made in 1959
Operated by the Thousand Islands Bridge Authority

Prescott-Ogdensburg International Bridge

Also called the Seaway Skyway
Connects Johnstown, Ontario, to Ogdensburg, New York State.
Has a span of 350.75 metres (1,151 feet) across the St. Lawrence River.
Completed in 1960.
On the Canadian side, the bridge connects with Highway 16, Highway 401 and Highway 416.
On the American side the bridge connects to Route 37 and then Interstate 81
Operated by the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority

If visiting sites in and out of the 1000 Islands on both sides of the border, be aware of requirements for travelling each way. Canada Border Services Agency, and U.S. Customs and Border Patrol websites and friendly staff will answer all of your questions.

Rail

Freight and passenger options
The Canadian National Railway (CNR) mainline runs east-west at the southern end of the counties and parallel to the St. Lawrence River and Highway 401.
Spur lines into the John Broome Industrial Park and the Port of Johnstown
The City of Brockville is located on VIA Rail Canada's main Windsor-Montreal corridor.
Connections to Smiths Falls and Ottawa.
There is daily VIA Rail service to all major cities, including Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal as well as smaller stops along the route, from the VIA station at 141 Perth Street in Brockville.
