Township of Augusta

Augusta is one of the oldest townships in Ontario with roots dating back to the 1700s. Communities include Algonquin, Domville, Maitland, Maynard, North Augusta, and Roebuck. Algonquin is a quiet residential community and is home to the township's library. Domville is a hamlet north of Prescott and boasts the Community Park. Maitland is a riverfront community that is also known for its recreational facility (MERC) and its ski trails. Attractions include the Homewood Museum, the Blue Church, Point au Baril, Maison Maitland, Antique Wheels in Motion and the North Augusta Labour Day Festival.
The Township of Augusta boasts such large industries as Valero, Dyno Nobel, Invista Canada and Evonik Industries. The Business Park in Augusta is strategically located on County Road 2 near Highway 401.
