The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an exceptional woman whose leadership, accomplishments, and contributions have made a lasting impact on her profession, business, industry, or community.
Presented annually as part of our International Women's Day event, this award celebrates women who have demonstrated excellence throughout their lives and careers while inspiring and supporting others along the way.
About the Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award honours women who have made significant contributions over many years through their leadership, dedication, innovation, volunteerism, mentorship, and community involvement.
Recipients are recognized not only for their achievements, but also for the positive influence they have had on others and the legacy they have created within Leeds Grenville and beyond.
Award Criteria
Nominees may be recognized for accomplishments in areas such as:
- Business and entrepreneurship
- Professional achievement
- Community leadership
- Volunteerism and philanthropy
- Mentorship and advocacy
Nominees should demonstrate a long-standing commitment to excellence and have made meaningful contributions that have positively influenced others.
Nominations
Nominations for the next Lifetime Achievement Award will open closer to the upcoming International Women's Day event happening on March 4th, 2027.
We encourage community members to consider the remarkable women around them whose contributions deserve recognition and celebration.

Timeline to plan your nomination
- Starting now… Let us know if you have someone in mind. We will start a list of potential nominees and provide you with early reminders of the nomination process and deadline. If you don’t already have a person in mind, discuss potential nominees at Economic Development Committee meetings and with business community improvement groups.
- October - January - Nominations are open and notifications are now appearing in the Leeds Grenville Economic Development eNewsletter, along with a link to an online nomination form.
- January - Deadline to submit your nomination. Letters of reference can accompany the nomination as well as Council endorsement.
- February - The winner will be announced via Media Release
- March - The winner is presented with the award at our International Women's Day event.
